Carlton Landing FAQs

Come for a getaway or stay year round, Carlton Landing is a resort community at Lake Eufaula in Oklahoma offering vacation rentals and home sales. Oklahoma’s newest town makes it the perfect Lake Eufaula vacation destination. The community has its own mayor, board of trustees, and the right to vote. Property taxes can be utilized to invest in public amenities that benefit the community. Amenities like the Nature Trails and Town Swim Beach are both the result of a vote chosen by the members of this town.

As of 2021, there are 260 houses in Carlton Landing and the long-term master plan covers an area of 3000 acres, 2500-3000 homes, following a 30-40 year plan to complete.

Approximately 24 families currently call Carlton Landing their full-time home. The other 200 families make up second homeowners, some visit every week, others seasonally, and many choose to take advantage of the Vacation Rental Program.

You can make it as hands off as you would like. We have some great local service providers that offer weekly walkthrough inspections, general repair, house cleaning and laundry, and pretty much anything else that comes with lake living.

Absolutely! Many families purchase a home and rent it out when they’re not using it through any of our vacation rental partners. This can help offset  expenses associated with  home ownership. To learn more about this program, contact any of our rental partners.

The Carlton Landing Boat Club is the easiest way to enjoy the lake, giving you have access to an entire fleet of pontoon and ski boats. It’s as simple as getting online to make a reservation and arriving to a full tank of fuel and fully equipped boat with life jackets, tubes, skis and all that you need to make your time on the lake hassle free. No cleaning, no maintenance, no worries. There is also a 60 slip marina where you may rent a boat slip and store your personal boat, with plans to expand to 300 for a full service marina.

Directions

Carlton Landing is located 20 miles south of Interstate 40 East of Oklahoma City and West of Ft. Smith Arkansas along HWY 69 South of Tulsa and North of the Dallas metro area. This location and proximity to major highways attracts vacationers from Arkansas, Northern Texas, Central and Eastern Oklahoma.

  1. From Oklahoma City

    131 miles, 2 hours by car

    Head east on I-40 for 114 miles, then head south on Highway 69 for about 18 miles. From there, take the exit toward OK-9A E and continue for 2.9 miles. Make a right onto Carlton Landing Drive and continue for 2.8 miles until you arrive at the Town Center Neighborhood.

  2. From Tulsa

    88 miles, 1.5 hours by car

    Take the Broken Arrow Expressway (Highway 64/51), then the Muskogee Turnpike southeast for about 43 miles. From there, take highway 69 south for about 49 miles and take the exit toward OK-9A E and continue for 2.9 miles. Make a right onto Carlton Landing Drive and continue for 2.8 miles until you arrive at the Town Center Neighborhood.

  3. From Dallas

    198 miles, 3.5 hours by car

    Take Highway 75 (which turns into Highway 69) north 188 miles. From there, continue on Highway 69 North. Turn right on Highway 9A for 2.9 miles. Make a right onto Carlton Landing Drive and continue for 2.8 miles until you arrive at the Town Center Neighborhood.
