Event Details: The National Town Builders’ Association will host an evening of BBQ, Beer and Bluegrass at Carlton Landing. Composed of builders and developers from across the nation, the Association advocates the development of smart-growth neighborhoods that are economically, socially and environmentally sustainable. This event will be a fun-filled way to celebrate how far Carlton Landing has progressed as a town. It also offers an opportunity to gain insight on how our community can continue growing on the right track. We invite you to join us for an evening of great food, drink, music, and conversation with profoundly knowledgeable Association members.
5:00 pm – Beer Tasting. Join us at Pavilion Park to quaff craft beer served up by The Big Friendly, Oklahoma City’s first school bus-turned-beer bus. Featuring seven taps from local craft breweries, the mobile bar is called The Big Friendly as a nod to OKC’s official nickname. The name also happens to reflect the friendly disposition of the owners. (Separate ticket required)
6:30 pm – Dinner in the Park. If you attend a warm-weather event at Lake Eufaula, you are pretty much obligated to indulge in the smoky goodness of authentic Oklahoma barbecue. Our chef for the evening is Donny Teel, the renowned owner and grill master of Buffalo’s BBQ in Sperry, Oklahoma. Donny has honed his craft for more than 20 years—winning countless BBQ competitions in the process. His most notable triumphs include Grand Champion American Royal Open 2004, Grand Champion Jack Daniels World Championship 2005, Reserve Grand American Royal Open 2005 & 06, Reserve Grand American Royal Invitational 2008, Grand Champion American Royal Side Dish Contest 2006, 07, 08, 09, 10, and 11. This is a rare opportunity to savor the BBQ wizardry of a true master.
